This is part of the facilities at our Mappin Street Centre and is a meeting place for about 50 visually impaired people each day, mostly elderly. We have a fleet of minibuses and volunteer drivers with their own cars who collect people from different parts of the city each day and bring them in to the Centre. We also have a very good snack bar in our foyer for sight impaired visitors and their gusets who might want a less formal get together.
There are a range of activities and entertainment available at the Centre, including a variety of craft activities, games and word buzzles.
Refreshments are served and there is no charge for attending. A lunch, cooked in our own kitchens, is available at the subsidised price of £3.50.
