Visual Impairment Awareness Training

Photo of training group at Westfield Contributory Health Scheme, SheffieldIn order to improve visually impaired people's access to services and facilities we offer access audits and staff training to other organisations and businesses. All organisations (statutory, commercial and voluntary) have obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act and we can offer advice and training to ensure compliance with the legislation. It also makes good commercial sense for organisations to make their services easily accessible to visually impaired people - There are over 3,000 people registered blind or partially sighted in Sheffield and over 2,000,000 in the UK. Yet RNIB research indicates that only 1 in 3 people with significant visual impairment are registered!

Our services are tailor made for each client and rates are negotiable.

For further information please contact Linda Herbert, Community Liaison Manager.
