Launch of new Charles Bonnet Syndrome website

Representatives from the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB) were invited to the launch of a new website for a campaign group for everyone working towards a greater awareness of Charles Bonnet Syndrome. The website is called Esme's Umbrella and it was started by Judith Potts, whose mother Esme, had Charles Bonnet Syndrome.

Judith Potts is pictured left with Dominic Ffytche (clinical advisor to the group) and Dr Sarah Wollaston MP at the launch which took place at the House of Commons.

Bessie Goddard (pictured below) is a volunteer at SRSB who runs the Charles Bonnet Syndrome support group at our Mappin Street Centre. As far as we know this is the only support group in the country for the condition at the time of writing this article.

We are delighted that this website has been set up and look forward to working with the group on further raising awareness of Charles Bonnet Syndrome.
