One of Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind’s clients, and a founder member of the Sheffield Visually Impaired Walking Group, was awarded the Legion d'honneur recently. The Legion d’honneur is France’s highest military honour and is being presented to veterans of D-Day.
Ted, along with another gentleman, was presented the medal by the honorary French representative for some of the north of the UK at a short presentation ceremony in Dronfield. The last post was played, followed by a minute’s silence.
We want to pass on our congratulations and thanks to Ted and all the other recipients of this honour.
