Tele-Conferencing Volunteer

Introduction to the Role

This role involves facilitating one of our weekly telephone conferencing groups. The calls involve 6-8 visually impaired clients, enabling them to build and maintain friendships and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. You will be working independently, although supervised by our Activity and Group Coordinator, ensuring all clients get connected, monitoring the calls and recording all attendees on a register.  

Skills required:

It is essential that you have some IT knowledge and good telephone skills. You would need to be confident, reliable and organised.  

Time Involved:

Regular set days and times, 1 to 2 hours per week. 

Where the role is based:

At SRSB's Mappin Street Centre.
