Blue Badge Renewal

Photograph of a road sign with parking information

We would like to advise anyone who has a Blue Badge for parking to check the expiry date. It has been brought to our attention that people with Blue Badges will no longer be sent a reminder when the badge is due to run out.

We believe that the new badge could take 28 days to arrive so it is advisable to apply for a renewal in good time, probably 2 months before expiry. The fee for renewal is now £10.

Anyone who is registered as blind/severely sight impaired is entitled to get a Blue Badge. More information can be found at Sheffield Council's Website

People registered as partially sighted/sight impaired and with additional mobility problems may also be entitled to a blue badge but there is an assessment process to undertake.

The badges are now issued nationally although you can apply through First Point at Howden House, or you can down load an application form or pick one up at any of the First Point centres listed below.  You will need to have proof of identity (passport, birth certificate) and address (utility bill, bank statement).  You will also need a passport sized photo.
