We are delighted to announce that our new sensory service in Rotherham, Rotherham Sight & Sound, was officially opened this week by our Patron, The Earl of Scarbrough.

It was a pleasure to welcome our guests, who included Cllr David Roche, Jacqui Clark and several other staff from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Rotherham Mayor, Cllr Eve Rose Keenan, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Bob Dyson, Janet Wheatley from Voluntary Action Rotherham, many other guests including clients and staff from Rotherham Sight & Sound and SRSB and several supporters from the local community.

This service will provide services to people with a visual impairment, deaf people, both hearing aid users and British Sign Language (BSL) users, as well as people with a dual sensory loss (deafblind).

It is the result of months of hard work between SRSB and Rotherham Council and many other people, dedicated to getting this much needed provision up and running for the Rotherham community. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved and look forward to developing this service over the coming months.
