Young Girl Braille Story

Photo of Bethany with Joanne

In memory of her blind grandparents, Barbara and Tony, who were clients of SRSB, eleven year old Bethany has been learning how to type Braille. Through the use of a Primer book, she has learnt the letters and some words such as 'for' and she has written a short story about a lion hunting a zebra.

Bethany and her Mum thought it would be lovely if we could pass this on to someone who would like to read it, so we will be doing this soon and will report back.

Barbara and Tony used to attend the Creative Writing Group at SRSB and we will also let the group know (they are currently meeting each week via telephone conference call) as they will love to hear about this.

Thank you Bethany – how very thoughtful of you.
