Our Ambassadors

Cllr John Campbell, former Lord Mayor of Sheffield (2012/2013)

John became involved with SRSB during his year in office as Lord Mayor. He has continued to be a valuable supporter, even taking part in our first ever Firewalk and Glass Walk in 2012 and more recently in 2018! John has also attended several SRSB/RSS events and has represented us at other events.

In 2013 we were delighted that he officially took on the role of SRSB Ambassador and we look forward to working with him in the future.

Anthony Cooper, FCA. Former Chairman and Trustee of SRSB/RSS.

Tony joined the Trustees at SRSB in 2006, taking over from Peter Lee as Chairman in 2015. He stepped down as Chairman in February 2021. We are delighted that he will remain involved as one of our Ambassadors.

Tony is a retired Chartered Accountant who, for over the last 20 years of his career, was the Group Finance Director and Company Secretary of Henry Boot PLC.

He has served as High Sheriff of South Yorks, is a past President of the Sheffield and District Society of Chartered Accountants and served on the National Council of the Institute for nine years. He was a Trustee of Museums Sheffield, and retains a number of other non- executive interests.

Mark has been a long standing supporter of SRSB/RSS. He is visually impaired and is passionate about raising awareness of sight loss and in his work, and was instrumental in setting up the iCare project supported by his employers at Talk Direct/O2. He has supported us with events, talks, technology Guru Days, our Job Club and fundraising. We are delighted that he has agreed to take on the role of SRSB/RSS Ambassador.

Simon has been a long standing supporter of SRSB/RSS. He is visually impaired and is passionate about raising awareness of sight loss. He is a great advocate of the opportunities of technology and how it can enable people with visual impairment to gain and maintain employment, help with study, assist with daily tasks and adapt to challenges, such as one of Simon’s passions: running ultra marathons! Simon is also a great role model and an inspirational speaker who motivates many people with his experiences and positivity. We are delighted that he has agreed to extend his support of our charity to become an SRSB/RSS Ambassador.
