Self Help and Support Group Volunteers

Introduction to the Role

We run several groups that encourage people with specific eye conditions and/or hearing conditions to meet on a regular basis to share experiences and access information specific to their circumstances.

Volunteers help to facilitate the groups and support clients at the centre or on trips out.

Skills required:

We ask that you are friendly and reliable with a positive approach. Being flexible and willing to get involved in lots of different tasks is helpful.

Time Involved:

Various dates and times, usually office hours Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Where the role is based:

At SRSB’s Mappin Street Centre in Sheffield or RSS's Ship Hill Centre in Rotherham.

You can read what our volunteers get out of different roles on our Volunteer Testimonials page.

Thank you for your interest in supporting our charity.
