Tele-Contact Volunteer

Introduction to the Role

Over time, clients' requirements may change, and our volunteers telephone clients to check if they need any other support or services, that our database holds the correct information and to record any updates or amendments.

Skills required:

Basic IT skills required, recording skills and good telephone skills. Confidentiality and data protection training given. 

Friendly, organised, confident volunteers who enjoy speaking on the phone and who have good listening skills. Good communication, commitment to the role and a clear speaking voice are important.

Time Involved:

Generally 2 to 4 hours 1 day a week, Monday to Friday.

Where the role is based:

At SRSB’s Mappin Street Centre in Sheffield or RSS's Ship Hill Centre in Rotherham.
