Tele-Friends provide an invaluable contact for our clients, some of whom may be quite isolated. We have a team of volunteers, who usually have a sight problem themselves, that telephone people on a weekly basis, usually just for a chat for around 20 minutes or so. The people they call are very often elderly, living alone and not going out of their own home very much so they look forward to the weekly phone call that our Tele-Friends make and rely on it to provide them with a friendly, trustworthy service.
